الملخص

The enzymatic hydrolysis of wheat straw after pretreated of alkaline for saccharification was
studied. Sub-strate wheat straw was pretreated with different concentrations of NaOH (1.0, 2.0
and 3.0 wt%) and treated with different autoclave times (20, 40, 60 min) at 121°C. Results are
showed the percentage of cellulose was increased with increasing alkali concentration up to
2.0%, and the maximum cellulose content and lignin removal (58.74% and 43.25%)
respectively, was observed after 40 minutes of sterilization. Enzymatic hy-drolysis of treated
wheat straw was carried out using different enzyme loads (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5) of cellu-lase.
As a result of the analysis of reducing sugars, it was found that the highest saccharification
(56%) was obtained. Also, the optimal enzyme concentration and incubation period were
recorded at 1% (w/v) and (1 h), resulting in a saccharification of 56%.
